This is a story that I wrote with Sin being the vampire instead of Alexander, and about his seduction of Alexander. No real characterization or anything like that, just an interesting idea.

A Night of Sin

Alexander was a local tavern owner on the waterfront in New Orleans. He shared his business with his sister, Ella, and his lover, Adonis, fondly known as Jay. Alexanders tavern had very good business, but brought in a lot of troublesome people. For instance, there was always this one man who insisted on hitting on the young men in the tavern. His name was Adhemar.

Alexander led a very happy life at the tavern. His sister was the joy of his life, and his lover was the fulfiller of all his desires.

Then one day in mid September, there came to the tavern the two most troublesome people Alexander had ever met. In fact, one of them changed his life forever.

It was late in the evening when the two gentlemen had arrived. Alexander noticed something odd about the two of them from the start, but thought nothing of it. The two of them took a table on the balcony, which was not very crowded. Alexander decided to offer them drinks himself. So he left the counter and walked up the balcony stairs to find the two of them in conversation.

Why are we here? There is nothing we can do here, said one of them, who had brown hair and seemed the younger of the two.

I just want to look around, replied the other, with crimson hair.

The one with crimson hair spotted Alexander as he walked up the stairs and stopped his conversation. He looked intently into Alexanders eyes and smiled seductively. Alexander felt slightly odd, but held his gaze.

Can I offer you two a drink? stuttered Alexander.

The crimson haired man stood up and walked towards Alexander.

That depends, he whispered.

The brown hair one laughed slightly at this remark. Alexander felt extremely nervous and backed away instinctively. The crimson haired one put his hand into Alexanders hair.

Dont worry. I dont bite, he said, lacing his fingers in Alexanders hair.

Lex! shouted Jay from the bottom of the stairs. He then ran up to Alexander as the crimson haired one backed off.

Is everything alright up here? asked Jay.

Everything is just fine, replied the crimson haired one. We were just leaving. Come, brother!

As the two men left, Jay turned to Alexander.

What the hell was that?

I do not know, muttered Alexander, staring longingly after the man.

For the next week, the two men came back again and again. Alexander did not dare ask them for drinks again, and he even told Ella and Jay to leave them alone. Unfortunately, the crimson haired one did not leave Alexander alone. He was constantly staring at Alexander from up on the balcony, and he did not leave until just before the bar closed, when the two men would just disappear.

After a week of enduring this, Alexander finally decided to confront the crimson haired one. He did not, however, want to cause a scene in his tavern, so he waited for the man outside. When he arrived, the man was shocked.

This is surprising. I thought you were avoiding me, he said slyly.

I was, in hopes that you would leave. You are disrupting my work, and I have to ask you to never come back here, replied Alexander, looking braver than he felt.

The crimson haired one laughed. He then gestured to his brother to leave them. The brother turned and walked back down the waterfront, muttering something under his breath. The man smiled at Alexander.

But why?

But why what? I want you out of my tavern!

You dont really mean that, he said, putting his hand on Alexanders neck and caressing it.

Alexander felt pleasure all over his body, but pushed the hand away in anger.

I do! You do not even buy anything. You take up space, and I want you gone!

The crimson haired one moved closer to Alexander, and he wrapped his arms around Alexanders small waist. Alexander did not even try to move away.

No. You dont, whispered the man, kissing Alexander.

Thoughts flooded into Alexanders mind. What the hell is this? Why am I letting him kiss me? What about Jay? But I can not pull away What is wrong with me? I feel so much pleasure in his arms.

Before Alexander could do anything, he was lifted off the ground and flown over the rooftops, away from his tavern. He could even hear the distant yelling of Jay, who just saw them kissing and came out to stop it. Alexander fell limp in the mans arms as they landed just outside a loft.

The man led Alexander inside the darkened hallway by the hand, and then into a room with a bed, surrounded by candles. Alexander no longer had a will of his own as the man pushed him down on the bed. The man kissed him long and hard on the mouth as he got on top of him.

Alexander could not help himself at all, and he kissed back and pulled the man closer to him. Alexander had never felt so much pleasure as he did that night. Never from anyone, even his real lover, Jay.

After almost an hour of passion, Alexander laid rather limply on the bed. The man started kissing his back, moving up towards Alexanders neck. When he reached his neck, the man bit. Alexander was so weak, he did not even shout out at the searing pain as the blood left his body. Then the man pulled back from his neck, and rolled Alexander over. Alexander could see through glinted eyes the man cutting his own wrist. He then lowered his wrist to Alexanders mouth, and Alexander drank madly. When the man pulled away, Alexander was left feeling unquenched of his thirst, but also in severe pain.

Your body is dying, my love. You will be fine in a few moments, whispered the man, kissing him gently to dull the pain with pleasure.

Once his death occurred, Alexander felt renewed. He looked up at the man.

What did you do to me?

I made you a vampire, like me. So that we can be together forever, like we should be.

But I do not even know your name.

Sin.

Note: This is Leah's fun little "hmm, let's see how many synonyms there are for blood" side-story. I was going to change some of the little phrases back to "blood" but I thought, 'hmm, well, it would be more amusing to make light of Adhemar's semi-rape scene' so I decided to keep them. Comic-relief, if you will. Oh, yes, and I spell magick with a 'k,' so deal :P. By the way, if you hadn't noticed, this is a majorly shounen-ai-ish story, so if you get squicked by stuff like that, don't read. Especially this entry, for it is lime-ish. Also, comments and questions are welcome. Please feel free to leave a note. Ciao.

Since the story wouldn't fit in a D-land entry, click here to read it.

This story is about love, and the many depressing complications that come with love. It is about Alexander and Adonis, Jay, but it is completely AU. It is slightly lime-ish too, so be warned. Also, this is the second, extended version. Liz ^_^

An Unforgivable Love

Alexander was a poor boy of seventeen working for his own bread. He was rather tall with long limbs and a small waist, but he was strong. He had long, flowing black hair with silver streaks that he liked to leave down and bright green eyes. He was rather intelligent, and he tried to speak above his station to prove he was more than an orphaned peasant. He lived in the stables of his masters home, tending to the horses on the vast estate, which was a recently acquired job.

The estate consisted of a large manor house mainly made of stone on a hill surrounded by gardens of every different kind of flowering plant cascading down the flanks of the hill. Far off to the right of the house, there was a moderately sized stable made of wood with a stone fountain. Surrounding the house on the level plane was fields of crops consisting of corn to wheat, and circling the fields was a vast forest, dividing the estate from the rest of the world. Far off in the forest was a good sized pond. A few miles to the east of the estate was a small town in central France.

Alexander lived a quiet life for a while, not really being bothered by the other servants or the family. He loved his quiet life, but after just two weeks of his employment, however, Alexander could not help but be bothered. His masters children, a young boy of seven named Robert and a young girl of eight named Erica, came home from school for the summer. They came to see the new stable boy one day.

Well, hello, said Alexander as he spotted the two childrens inquiring faces in the open doorway of the stable. You can come in, if you want.

Who are you? asked the young girl, who had blond hair and blue eyes like her mother.

Alexander. Who are you two? replied Alexander, smiling.

Im Erica, and this is my younger brother, Robert, replied the girl.

Nice to meet you. You can come into the stable, you know, mentioned Alexander, returning to brushing the brown horse with a white patch on its nose like a star.

The two children entered the stable, Robert remaining behind his sister. They walked closer to Alexander, but stopped a few feet away, eyeing him again. Alexander glanced their way, and smiled again. Then Robert ran out from behind his sister and climbed up on the step in front of the horse with a star on its nose.

Hes my horse. I named him star after his nose, said the little boy with brown hair and blue eyes, patting the horse on the nose.

Clever name, said Alexander.

The boy smiled. Then Alexander noticed Erica running to a cream colored horse across the stable.

This one is mine. Her name is Buttercup, commented Erica.

She is quite the horse, too. She runs pretty fast, mentioned Alexander.

A light seemed to come on inside Ericas little head. She ran back over to Alexander and asked excitedly, Can you teach us to ride?

Alexander looked almost as excited as Erica for he loved to teach. Then his excitement faltered.

Only if you get permission from your father, he replied. Riding a horse can be dangerous, so you should have permission first.

Erica frowned. Our father is rarely home. It might be weeks before we can get his permission.

Well, then, you will just have to help me saddle, bridle, and feed these horses in the meantime, said Alexander with a smile on his face.

The smile returned on Ericas face.

For the next two weeks, Robert and Erica continued to learn the ways of horses and how to tend to them, though they were never allowed to ride one. They learned quickly, and Alexander had a wonderful time with them. Soon Erica and Robert were looking up to Alexander like an older brother, trusting him with their secrets. Alexander in return felt really close to the children, like they were his siblings.

Then one day, the two children came to the stables with their father. Alexander had never seen their father, Adonis, being employed by his wife, Rebecca. Adonis was tall and thin like Alexander, but unlike him, he was rather built. He had shoulder length brown hair, tied up in a silk ribbon of blue. He wore elegant clothes of a matching blue. His wild blue eyes met Alexanders as he entered the stable, and a slight smile emerged on his face.

Alexander did not know what to do. He decided to bow as his master came in, breaking eye contact.

You can stand up now, smirked Adonis.

As he did, Alexander was shocked to see Adonis raising his hand to him. He took it, and he could feel Adonis strong, warm grip.

I am Adonis, the master of this estate, Adonis stated.

I am Alexander, sir, replied Alexander.

Still smiling, Adonis said, My children seem quite determined to learn how to ride. They say you will be willing to teach them.

Yes, sir, said Alexander, smiling at the two children standing behind their father.

I would like them to learn. It is about time that they did. Please take them out daily.

Yes, sir.

Adonis smiled again at his quick compliance.

I have more pressing matters that need to be taken care of today, he said, leaving the stable. Take care of my children, Alexander.

Yes, sir, called Alexander, looking down at the excited children and smiling.

For the next couple of weeks, Alexander taught Robert and Erica everything they would need to know about riding horses. He enjoyed their daily ride together, growing even closer to the children with each passing day.

One day on their daily ride, their conversation moved to Adonis. The children told Alexander of how their father was rarely home before Alexander came to work in the stables. He would tell them that he was very busy and working all the time. But now, he seemed to never leave the house. The children also explained to Alexander how their father would constantly ask them questions about him. Alexander felt a little embarrassed by this, wondering what the older man would want with him.

Really? asked Alexander.

Yes, replied Erica. Whenever we come home from our ride, he questions us about you.

Have you ever asked him why?

No, said Robert. Maybe we should, Erica.

Yes, said Alexander. Ask him why for me, will you?

The children nodded.

The next day, they told Alexander what their father had said.

He just wants to know all about the person who takes his children out everyday, said Erica.

Yeah, he says he wants to make sure you are not some murderer, added Robert.

Alexander laughed. Did you tell him that I was not?

Of course, Lex. We trust you completely, confessed Erica.

Alexander felt like he was part of a real family that day. He let the children stay out longer that day in appreciation. As Alexander and the children returned back to the estate from their ride that day, Alexander noticed Adonis in an upstairs window, watching him. Alexander smiled and waved, but Adonis just moved back from the window and out of sight. Though confused, Alexander brushed off the incident and went into the stable to unsaddle his horse.

The next day, the children came to Alexander with important news. They and their mother were going to go on a vacation for a two week stay at their grandparents house.

Is not your father going with you? asked Alexander after the children finished.

No, he said he was too busy, replied Robert.

He also said he would love to go, but his work is just too pressing at the moment, added Erica.

Mother also said to tell you to get the horses ready for the carriage, said Robert.

As Alexander took the horses to the front of the house and hooked them up to the carriage, he noticed Adonis looking at him again from an upstairs window. This time, he remained there, staring at him intently. Alexander felt self conscious all of a sudden. He quickly hooked up the horses so that he could return to the stable and away from the eyes of Adonis.

The following day, Alexander found himself suddenly bored and lonely, having no one to talk to anymore. After a few days, Alexander decided to take a ride on a horse that had not been out in a while. As he saddled the horse, Adonis appeared at the door of the stable, frightening Alexander a little.

I did not mean to frighten you, Alexander. I am sorry, said Adonis, walking closer. You are, however, saddling my horse. And I only ride him.

I am sorry, sir. It is just that this horse needs exercise, and it is my job to give it to him.

Sorry, my boy, but only I can ride him. But since you have already saddled him, I might as well take him out.

Alexander moved away from the horse so Adonis could get on. Sitting on top of the horse, Adonis looked down and touched Alexanders face gently.

Why dont you saddle another horse? We could go riding together.

Alexander agreed, and soon they were off riding and racing in the surrounding forest. Alexander had a wonderful time. Adonis was very kind and talked to him quite freely. They stopped by the pond to give their horses a rest and dismounted. As Alexander stood there, looking across the pond, Adonis came and stood behind him, putting his hand on Alexanders shoulder. Alexander felt a little nervous and stepped forward, looking up at the clouding sky.

Looks like rain, he muttered as Adonis stepped in front of him.

Raindrops began to fall as Adonis moved closer to Alexander. He put a gentle hand on Alexanders cheek and brushed away the rain just below his right eye. Then he lightly kissed him on the cheek, right below his eye. Alexander moved back, frightened of his action.

Im sorry, Alexander. I could not help myself. Your beauty overwhelms me, said Adonis.

He moved closer to Alexander again, but did not get the response he was hoping for. Alexander ran back to his horse without saying a word and raced back to the stable and his room above it, confused about the sudden affection he was receiving from his master.

Later that night, Alexander found Adonis horse back in the stable and unsaddled him while thunder shook the earth and lightning lit up the night. Alexander trembled as he stood there, brushing the horse, out of fear of the storm. He liked the sound of rain, but he could not stand a thunderstorm. The horses felt the same way. Alexander was even more startled by a servant suddenly appearing in the stable. He had a message from Adonis.

The lord Adonis wishes to see you, immediately, said the servant.

Alexander had been in the house only once before when he came about the job months ago. He was slightly overwhelmed by its size and dark corridors as he was led to Adonis study. He was let inside the dimly lit room by the servant and then left there alone. Alexander looked around to find books placed on shelves against the walls, and papers piled on the oak desk in the middle. Still wet from the long walk from the stable, Alexander decided not to sit down in one of the leather chairs that crowded the room, lest he ruined them.

Alexander waited in the study for what seemed like hours when finally Adonis entered through a side room, whose door was hidden by a bookcase. Startled by the sudden appearance, Alexander moved back against one of the bookcases opposite the moving one. As he apologized, Adonis moved over to the real door and silently locked it, while Alexander was distracted by a sudden bolt of lightning.

Placing the key in the pocket of his robe, Adonis moved over to Alexander. I have seen the condition of your room in that stable, Alexander. It is no place for anyone to sleep during a thunderstorm of this caliber. I have a room in the house all set up for you to stay, expressed Adonis.

Nodding gratefully, Alexander thanked Adonis again and again. Adonis placed his hand over his mouth to stop his muttering. Alexander looked intently in Adonis eyes and closed his mouth.

I apologize for my rude behavior this afternoon at the pond. I should not have kissed you. But, I did not mean to frighten you.

Alexander nodded slowly.

Your room is behind that bookcase over there, informed Adonis, grabbing his hand and guided him over to it.

Alexander looked around at the marvelous bedroom. It was also dimly lit, but he could see well enough. Heavy black drapes covered what Alexander assumed was a window. A large bed with white silk sheets and a canopy was centered in the room with small dressers flanking it. A wardrobe rested against the wall opposite the drapes. Alexander noticed that the secret door was the only way out.

Hearing the slight thud of the door closing, Alexander turned quickly around to find Adonis still standing in the now closed doorway.

I am not worthy of such a room, my lord. Even for just one night, muttered Alexander quickly.

I would not have you sleep in any other room, stated Adonis.

Confused by his statement, Alexander was caught off guard as Adonis pushed him down onto the bed. Looking up with quickened breath, Alexander saw Adonis taking off his robe to reveal his naked muscular body. He then put his hands under Alexanders chin and lifted his face towards him. Adonis bent down and kissed Alexander gently on the lips. Alexander shuddered from a mixture of pleasure and confusion as Adonis released him.

As Alexanders mind raced with thoughts, Adonis asked him, Do you want me?

Alexander looked up at the naked figure in front of him with the longing eyes. He stood up from the bed and kissed him passionately, without knowing exactly why.

Adonis arms flew around Alexanders waist and pulled him closer. Alexander could feel Adonis erection as his body pressed hard against his. Then he moved his arms around Adonis neck. Adonis moved away from him though in order to take off Alexanders clothes. Once naked the two men laid on the bed, kissing fervently, in each others arms. Adonis wanted to be gentle and slow with the boy since it seemed this was Alexanders first sexual experience. So that night, they merely fell asleep in each others arms.

Over the course of the next couple of days, Alexander returned to his duties, but always returned to the house at night to that hidden bedroom. And with each passing night, he became more comfortable being with Adonis. So much so that only after three days together, he consented to make love to Adonis.

Adonis was pleased, but still wanted to be gentle with the boy. He talked soothingly throughout the night to calm him, kissing him often, and made gentle movements within the boy. He was even careful when massaging Alexander. When it was over, and they were both satisfied, they fell asleep in each others arms.

In the morning, Alexander awoke to find Adonis still in his arms, for he would always leave before the soon rose so as not to make the servants suspicious. Alexander was pleased to find his lover still there however. He silently watched Adonis sleep until he awoke. The first thing Alexander saw was Adonis bright blue eyes gleaming at him in the candlelight, for no sunlight came into the room.

Alexander immediately asked, Can I call you Jay?

Why do you want to call me that?

For your eyes are as blue as a blue jay. And then, I would be able to call you my own, for no one else will call you Jay.

Adonis agreed, but asked that Alexander only call him that inside this room. Alexander nodded. Adonis kissed Alexander, calling him Lexy, as he so nicknamed him.

Over the next week, it was the same every night. Alexander and Adonis would meet privately in the secret room and would have passionate lovemaking.

The night before Adonis wife and children returned, he talked sternly to Alexander about the situation.

You are not to return to sleep in the house while my family is home. You are not to mention anything about our relationship whatsoever to anyone, especially my family. You should try to avoid me as best as you can, unless I call for you or go to you, Adonis commanded.

Alexander was devastated at the idea of not being with Adonis every night, but equally angry at himself for falling in love with a married man. Adonis said he would not leave Alexander alone for long. He had come up with the idea for the vacation to get his family out of the house to seduce Alexander, and he would think up another good idea to get Alexander back in his bed.

The week that followed the children and Rebeccas return to the estate was horrible for Alexander. He ached for Adonis body and love more than anything. It did not help Alexanders feelings either when he would see Adonis being so happy with his wife and children. The jealousy that filled Alexanders life was more than he could bare.

The only thing that helped in his solitude was his daily ride with the children. They told him everything about their vacation for weeks after they came home, taking Alexanders mind off Adonis.

They, however, also started talking about how their father seemed changed since they last saw him. He seemed happier to them, but would not tell them what happened when they were away. Alexander kept his promise and never told the children he was the reason for their fathers sudden happiness.

After three weeks, however, of not seeing Adonis, or even talking to him, Alexander became reckless. He knew the family well enough to know that Rebecca took the children into the town on the same day every week. Being that day, Alexander went into the house and found Adonis in his study. Adonis was angry, but glad to see Alexander nonetheless. Adonis explained that Alexander should leave, but could not help but kiss him passionately.

Alexander explained his need for Adonis. Adonis related that he had been trying to get his wife to take the children to Paris for another vacation, but she resisted. Therefore, they could not be together. Alexander grew angry at Adonis and raised his voice, shouting about how if Adonis loved him the way he said he would leave his wife for him. Adonis tried to quiet him, yelling at him about if the servants heard, it would be the end of everything. Alexander did not care. He started crying as Adonis wrapped his arms around him.

Adonis gave in to Alexander the next week when Rebecca and the children were gone for more than half the day. They went quietly into the secret room and made passionate love each Wednesday for another month.

Rebecca did not seem to be suspicious to Adonis, but she was. There was quite a big difference in her husbands behavior of late. Adonis used to make love to his wife almost every night before their vacation, but after, he had not even touched her. Rebecca decided to see what was going on. While she asked the servants about what happened while she was gone, Adonis continued his affair with Alexander.

Soon Adonis even became reckless to the point that he would go on almost daily rides, occupied by the stable boy. And they would not return until after dark. This caused more suspicion.

Rebecca learned nothing more than Alexander would stay in the house during the vacation from the servants. And since no one ever saw Alexander going to Adonis when the family was out, Rebecca never heard of it. But she continued in her search to find out what Adonis was doing.

Unfortunately for Adonis and Alexander, she found out the following Wednesday. Adonis never checked to see if she had left anymore in his recklessness, so he did not notice that she was still home. Rebecca kept the children in their rooms, however, since she planned on his ignorance to her whereabouts. Rebecca spied Adonis leaving the house and going down to the stable from her bedroom window and quickly followed after him.

As she neared the stable door, she could hear voices from inside. She recognized the stable boys voice.

Has Rebecca left yet?

Rebecca heard Adonis voice reply.

If she had not left yet, I would not have come down to the stable.

Rebeccas suspicion grew as she searched for a crack in the wood to see inside. As it grew quiet inside, Rebecca found a small hole in the side of the stable and saw something that shocked her beyond her imagination.

Inside, Adonis held Alexander in a tight embrace, kissing him with his hand down Alexanders pants. They were completely unaware of Rebecca spying on them. Completely shocked, Rebecca ran back to the house in tears. In all her fantasies of what Adonis was doing, she never expected he was having an affair with a man. A woman, maybe, but a boy.

Rebecca remained in her room that night, awaiting Adonis arrival for bed. But he did not come to bed that night. At least, not to hers. Adonis laid with Alexander in his bed beneath the stable rafters. He had fallen asleep by mistake after their weekly lovemaking, and did not wake up until the sun light poured in through the cracks.

When Adonis opened his eyes, he looked longingly at his lover. Then realized where he was, and how stupid he was for falling asleep. As Adonis got up in a sitting position, he saw passed his lovers sleeping form to find Rebecca sitting on a bucket in a corner with a gun across her lap.

Fear swept through Adonis.

Rebecca, you can do whatever you like with me, but please do not touch Alexander, he said quietly.

Alexander woke up to these words. He thought Adonis was speaking to him, for he only heard the sound. He smiled and leaned over to kiss Adonis, completely unaware. Adonis pulled back and shook his head.

Alexander inquiringly said, Jay?

Adonis eyes shifted back to Rebecca, and Alexander turned around to see what he was looking at. Alexander let out a muffled cry as he saw Rebecca and then the gun. Rebecca still had not said a word.

Alexander asked her, What are you going to do?

Yet she remained silent.

Finally, she spoke up, asking Adonis, How could you do this to me?

Adonis remained silent now. Alexander looked at Adonis, then back at Rebecca.

He answered for Adonis, We are in love.

Rebecca laughed.

What kind of love can two men have for each other when one has a wife and children? she asked, raising her voice.

Adonis spoke quietly, I needed the love of some else, because you were not enough for me. You never really satisfied me anyway.

Both Alexander and Rebecca were shocked by his abrupt honesty.

I will never forgive you for what you have done to me and the children! Rebecca shouted.

Rebecca, growing angry with jealousy, aimed the gun at Adonis. She fired. Alexander moved in front of Adonis and took the bullet. As blood poured from Alexanders chest, tears poured out of Adonis eyes over him. Adonis looked up at Rebecca with malice in his eyes. She aimed the gun again.

Alexander reached for Adonis lips with his fingers and said his final word, Jay

As Alexander died, Rebecca shot Adonis, leaving him to die on top of his lover.

Rebecca, filled with grief and shock at what she had just done, then shot herself. The murders and suicide were witnessed by a servant who came to investigate the gun shots.

The children were told of this devastation, but acted accordingly to the information they found out from the servants. With the servants help, they buried their father with his lover. Their mother only a few feet away.

And on the grave marking the site, it read: Adonis, son of Philip, and his lover, Alexander, the only one to make him happy.

Once again I have a story for our little fanfiction section. This one is about Adhemar and Henmi, and it is also completely AU. Credit is also do to Leah. Liz ^_^

Professor Adhemar and His Pet, Henmi

Henmi was the above average student everyone loved to hate. He was always at the top of the class, and all the teachers pet. It was the same for Henmi throughout his school career, but he was able to cope with it. However, in Henmis sophomore year at college everything changed. Henmi was still the top student, and the teachers pet, but the students of one favorite teacher could not stand the attention Henmi received.

Professor Adhemar - he refused to be called by his last name - was the students favorite teacher for very obvious reasons. He was charming and quick witted. He was the youngest professor at the school, and he was quite handsome, an added bonus for the girl students. He also insisted on giving as little homework as possible. For all these reasons and more, he was the campus favorite.

Unfortunately, Professor Adhemar had a bad habit of choosing one student each year that would be his helper in his art appreciation class. This year, his eye fell on Henmi, causing Henmi more grief from the other students.

Henmi, who was a very shy boy, did not really care to get up in front of the other students every class. Professor Adhemar basically had to bribe Henmi to do it. Whispering in Henmis ear, the professor said, Ill take you out for ice cream after class to make up for this. I promise.

Henmi was not too sure, but agreed anyway. He really liked ice cream. It was the same every class, and after every weekly class, the professor would meet Henmi at the local ice cream parlor at exactly seven oclock. Henmi would always ask for two scoops of strawberry, and the professor would get chocolate with strawberry sauce. Henmi, being as shy as he was, would not really talk at these weekly rewards. Undaunted, the professor would just explain to Henmi his lesson plans for the next class.

After a month of meeting at the ice cream parlor, the other students got word of it. Filled with jealousy over the great amount of attention Henmi was receiving, two girl students decided to take matters in to their own hands and get Henmi to drop the course.

While walking home after his weekly outing with the professor, Henmi was confronted by these girls.

Why does he even like you? questioned one of them, pushing Henmi against the garden wall that surrounded his apartment building.

Not wanting to hurt the girls, Henmi did nothing to stop the physical treatment he was receiving. However, the girls were rather strong and continued to beat him up. After receiving a black eye, Henmi shouted out, drawing the attention of the professor.

Drop the course! And leave the professor alone! shouted one of the girls, punching Henmi in the stomach.

What the hell is going on here! yelled the professor as his eyes passed over the scene.

The two girls backed away from Henmi, shocked to see the professor. The professor looked at the girls with malice.

I will see to your expulsions, retorted the professor as he picked Henmi off the ground. Go back to your rooms!

As the girls ran away, the professor carried the injured Henmi inside the apartment building and up to his room. The professor left Henmi on his bed and went into the kitchen.

Have to find something to put on that eye of yours, called the professor from the kitchen.

Enveloped in the light from the kitchen door, the professor found nothing to put on Henmis eye. He closed the door and looked in the freezer section for ice. Grateful to find at least ice, the professor started wrapping some in a towel.

Professor muttered Henmi from the bedroom.

Please call me Adhemar, Henmi, said the professor as he came back into the bedroom.

Flipping on the light in the room, the professor saw Henmis sprawled body on the bed and sighed. He put the ice over Henmis eye, causing Henmi to wince.

Sorry, but you need this, said the professor.

Henmi opened his good eye, and said, Adhemar, and started to cry.

Adhemar sat down on the bed. As he placed a hand on Henmis hand, he said, It will be okay, Henmi. I will take care of those girls. You have nothing to worry about.

Henmi sat up and hugged Adhemar, still crying. At that moment, both of them felt their friendship grow stronger. Adhemar stayed the night with Henmi, watching over him. He left early in the morning however.

At their next outing, Henmi was eager to talk to Adhemar. And at the following outings, they grew closer and closer. There was still problems with jealously amongst the other students, but they were too afraid of Adhemar to hurt Henmi like those two expelled girls.

Following one of their weekly outings, Adhemar asked if he could walk Henmi home, and Henmi accepted. Standing outside Henmis door, Adhemar did a very brash thing. He kissed Henmi. Shocked, Henmi pulled back and slammed the door in Adhemars face.

For over a week, Adhemar thought about what he did and decided to apologize to Henmi. The night before Henmis class with Adhemar, Henmi was in his room doing homework when there was a knock on the door. Opening the door, Henmi saw Adhemars troubled face.

I would like to apologize for what I did last week, stammered Adhemar.

Henmi remained quiet. He also had a week to think about what happened.

Looking down at the ground, Adhemar said, Well then. Ill leave you alone.

As Adhemar moved away from the door, Henmi grabbed his hand. Shocked, Adhemar looked longingly at Henmi and found him smiling. Henmi pulled Adhemar into his room, closed the door, and kissed his passionately.

Wrapping his arms around Henmis small waist, Adhemar said amid kisses, No this isnt right

I dont care! I love you, replied Henmi.

Adhemar was overcome with emotion. I love you too, Henmi!

Over the next few months, Henmi and Adhemar carried on their secret love affair. They were very careful too, so they were able to keep it a secret. Henmi remained quiet in Adhemars class like he always did, and Adhemar continued his teaching career like nothing was going on. They still had their weekly ice cream outing though.

At the end of the year, the two lovers were confronted with something much worse than discovery, parting. Henmi was to go back home for summer vacation, and Adhemar was to return to his house in the country to paint.

I want you to come with me, said Adhemar one evening while laying in bed with Henmi.

You know I cant, he replied, rolling over so as not to face Adhemar.

No one has to find out. You can tell your parents that you are spending time with a friend of yours, which is pretty much true.

My parents wont approve of me spending even more time away from them.

Then come to me later on in the summer, I dont care. I just want to be with you, whimpered Adhemar, putting his arm over Henmi and pushing his forehead into his back.

I suppose I could try that, answered Henmi.

When Henmi got home that summer, he confronted his parents about the prospect of going to spend the rest of the summer with his friend from college. Reluctantly, they agreed. By July, Henmi was posing for Adhemar in his country home and spending cool summer nights in his arms.

When Henmi returned to school, he no longer had Adhemar as a teacher. They continued their relationship though, growing even closer. It was the same for Henmis senior year. Thankfully, they were never found out. After Henmi graduated first in his class, he and Adhemar lived together. And they are still living happily together.

Okay, this is kind of like a video game. Have fun. ---Leah

Mission 1: Santuario Research Facility

The once-grey stone walls were faded white and green algae seeped from every crack and crevice. Moonlight cascaded through the many windows that lined the walls, brightening the narrow hallway passageways. Crickets chirped loudly and rats scuttled across the brick-red floors of the old Santuario Research Facility in Nuovo-Mondo. It had not been used in years, and no one had set foot inside the ancient building since its closure. Until now, that is.

"This's some creepy shit, Arnon," Adhemar said, stepping over broken vials and the reliquiae of long-dead rodents. Adhemar was on a training mission in order to complete his orientation into the Vryolaka Resistance Force. Sindor Arnon was his senior officer and supervisor.

"That's Agent Arnon to you," Sindor replied indifferently as he gazed over the clutter of the facility's lobby. After looking around at the walls for a moment, he discovered a set of light switches. He flipped the switches up, but nothing happened. He wasn't surprised; the Vryolakas were creatures that abhorred light, after all. Sindor pulled out a flashlight from his tool belt and Adhemar did the same.

"So, uh Agent Arnon," Adhemar began sarcastically. "Are you going to give me a mission briefing before we go any further in? Or am I just supposed to read your mind and figure out what I'm supposed to do?"

Sindor sighed in annoyance and pulled his long black trench coat further around him. "I'm quite certain that your group leader back at headquarters already briefed you."

"Not really, man. All he told us was to kick some Vryolaka ass, but that's about it." Adhemar shrugged.

"Fine," Sindor began, clearing his throat. "The Vryolaka that resides in the underground level of the Santuario Research Facility has been abducting young women and mutilating their bodies, for some ritualistic purpose no doubt. We have no orders to rescue any women, most likely because all are already dead. The Vryolaka has several minions, part of the Vryolaka Cult, no doubt, and we are to exterminate them as well as the Vryolaka."

"Now that's what I'm talkin' about," Adhemar pulled out his revolver from its holster and drew back the hammer, pointing the gun at a random location in the lobby. He quickly jerked his wrist up and muttered, "Bang," without pulling the trigger, pretending as if he were actually going to shoot something.

Rolling his eyes, Sindor said, "You know very well that bullets won't do a Vryolaka any harm at all. Now can I finish? You would like to know all of your orders, wouldn't you?"

Adhemar let his arm fall to his side, still holding his pistol. "Fine," he said.

"Good," Sindor ran a hand through his long red hair. "Yes, we are to exterminate the Vryolaka definitely, but we are only to kill its minions if it is absolutely necessary. You know that the minions of the Vryolaka are human, just as we are, only they are being controlled by the Vryolaka. If the Vryolaka is killed, they will come to their senses and return to normal. And therefore, we must try our best not to harm them. Understand?"

"Yeah, yeah, I get it," Adhemar shoved his gun back into its holster. "Which way to the basement, then?"

"To the left and down the stairs," Sindor replied, grabbing a long steel stake from his belt. "You do remember how you're supposed to get rid of a Vryolaka, don't you?"

"Yeah, yeah. Acid and stakes. Now c'mon, I want to get on with this." Adhemar turned to his left, Sindor right behind him, and walked down the dark hallway that lead to the stairway. It was eerily quiet and neither of the two men could hear anyone else walking about.

At the bottom of the staircase was another corridor. Being underground, there were no windows, so Sindor and Adhemar's flashlights were the only light to illuminate the way ahead of them. The concrete walls were caked with a dried brown substance and even more rats scurried about on the ground.

"Damn" said Adhemar. "Don't ya just wish that Hameln guy were here now?"

"I'm surprised you know such a story," Sindor admitted, looking around for a doorway.

"Eh, my ma told me when I was a kid. That Hameln guy had this flute, ya know, and he would charm the rats."

"Well, they are charmed in a sense," said Sindor. "Whatever you do, don't step on any of them. It'll only make more trouble."

"Why's that?" asked Adhemar.

"Because they, too, are under the Vryolaka's control. Step on one of them and they'll all come after us. That would be quite an unfortunate turn of events."

"You're tellin' me, man. They'd chew us outta our shoes, that's for sure." Adhemar paused for a moment before asking, "Hey, why haven't you told me to keep quiet? Shouldn't we?"

"Well, it really doesn't matter if we are or not. The Vryolaka knows where you are no matter what. The moment we walked in the front doors it was aware of our presence, and it still is now." Sindor spotted a door at the end of the hallway made of concrete, as to look like part of the wall. He walked up to it, carefully avoiding the rats, Adhemar close behind him.

Adhemar attached his flashlight to the clasp on his coat and then pulled out an elongated stake like the one Sindor had, as well as a vial of clear liquid.

"Careful with that" Sindor said, fastening his flashlight to his coat. "That's acid, you know."

"Yeah, yeah, I know. Spill this stuff on you and it won't wash out, that's for sure." Adhemar placed his hand on the concrete door, about to push it open. "You ready?" he asked Sindor.

"Worry about yourself," Sindor said. "Remember, you're the one that has to kill the Vryolaka. If you don't kill it, you fail."

"I know." At that, Adhemar leaned against the door, pushing it open.

The room was dimly lit, illuminated by only candles that had been placed around the room. But light wasn't needed to see the gleaming yellow eyes of the Vryolaka, who stood in the far right corner of the room, jagged green and brown spikes hanging from its limbs and webbed feet like a lizard. Its claws were sharp like daggers and its body was a carpet of brittle sepia fur. The Vryolaka's human minions stood around it in a protective fashion, the hoods of their black cloaks covering their faces.

Sindor pulled the door shut after he entered, so that the rats wouldn't interfere.

The Vryolaka strode closer to Adhemar and Sindor, its acolytes following it. It growled in its deep voice, and it's lips drew back to reveal its knife-like teeth, dripping with yellowish saliva.

"Remember," said Sindor gravely. "Do not harm the humans if possible."

Adhemar nodded, his heart beating faster. He wiped the beads of sweat off of his forehead with his coat sleeve and held his stake ready.

The Vryolaka's followers came towards Adhemar and Sindor first, screaming and raising their fists to fight them. Sindor evaded their attacks as best he could, using the blunt end of his stake to knock two of them unconscious. Adhemar followed his example. After all four of them were out cold, the Vryolaka was even more enraged.

Sindor moved around to the Vryolaka's right side and Adhemar to its left as he pulled the cap off of the vial of acid. The Vryolaka roared and ran towards Sindor, its claws raised to attack. As Sindor used his stake to block the Vryolaka's attack, Adhemar grabbed a handful of the Vryolaka's spikes on the back of its head and pulled back roughly, letting the acid fall out of the container and into the Vryolaka's glowing eyes.

The Vryolaka howled in pain, clawing at its eyes. Sindor grabbed it under the neck and held it firmly. He turned his head to Adhemar and said, "Now."

Adhemar nodded and drove his stake as hard as he could into the creature's chest, puncturing its heart. The Vryolaka let out a strangled cry of defeat before slumping onto the ground, dead.

After Adhemar pulled his stake out of the moss-green insides of the Vryolaka, Sindor checked to make sure it was indeed dead. Sindor looked up at Adhemar and nodded in affirmation.

The four humans that had been with the Vryolaka awakened then, confused at their surroundings. Sindor explained to them what had happened while Adhemar pulled open the concrete door again.

Adhemar gasped when he noticed all of the rats lying on the ground who had once been lively, but were now all dead and decomposing. Adhemar pulled Sindor away from the others and showed him the scene outside of the door.

"Hmm" mused Sindor. "They seem to have died a while ago. Perhaps the Vryolakas now have the power to manipulate the dead" He paused for a moment before continuing. "Well, no matter. There's a group from Headquarters coming soon to clean up. They can take a look at them when they arrive. For now, let's get these people out of here."

At that, Sindor motioned for the other people to follow them out of the building. They walked down the corridor and up the stairs, avoiding the rat corpses as they went. When they finally reached the exit, everyone was glad to be away from the research building. Sindor told the others to stay put until the other officers from Headquarters arrived, as they would have to be questioned.

Sindor turned back to Adhemar and asked, "So, how was your first real mission?"

Adhemar smirked. "Freaky as hell. Did I pass?"

Sindor smiled back at Adhemar. "Oh, I don't know Maybe"

"Maybe my ass," replied Adhemar. "How could you not pass me?"

"Fine" Sindor sighed. "you passed."

Adhemar's smile grew wider as he let out a yell of triumph. He then told Sindor, "Of course, I couldn't have done it without you, pal."

"I'm sure you could have," Sindor replied. "At any rate, go to the main office at Headquarters tomorrow to receive further instructions."

"Roger," replied Adhemar, his smile never fading.

Both men, along with the four people who had followed the Vryolaka, waited in silence for the team from Headquarters to arrive.
